Gynecology and Obstetrics Unit - S.C. Ginecologia e ostetricia

The Gynecology and Obstetrics Unit concerns itself with the diagnosis and treatment of benign gynecological disorders, gynecological oncology, urogynaecological disorders, infertility diseases and obstetrics’. The surgical activity is performed both with traditional method or mini-invasive endoscopic techniques (laparoscopy, hysteroscopy).
Provided services are classified into the following activities complemented each other:
Elective admission: required by the attending physician; surgery for severe pathologies (cancer, acute bleeding, emergency caesarean sections, etc) follows different routes.
Day hospital and day surgery admission: easy procedures and surgical interventions are performed in day care, with discharge in the same day.
Outpatient activities: there are several different clinics specific for the type of disease.
